Hi,

I have had a request from certain users that they would like to be excluded from the admin mails.

Is there anyway we could have a quick update that gives a tick box in the profile that allows users to opt out of mails from the EMAIL ALL USERs/ALL League Users admin function?

That would be a nice feature indeed, some users may find these emails indesirable and wish they could stop it Wink

IN fact it should go one further and the following options should be available in MY Profile.

Miscellaneous
Receive email from Admin (Default = they do)
Receive email for Private Messages (Default = they do)
Receive email of own predictions (Default = they do)
Show the standings on login (Default = NO)

This way it would also stop users spamming other users.

It was my World Cup users that wanted it as they did not want to be bugged by the Tennis, F1 and Golf during the tourney but that is fine as I can handle the problems and will be good to have a fix from you John that I dont then need to modify for each patch.

Cheers. Was the best way to use the scoring, so the result is sort of irrelevant it is the score that means everything.

As you can see we do a lot of sports, that was the reason I needed the Spread scoring as Rugby and Cricket is pretty damn hard to get 100% correct. The rest are all fine as Football, Tennis and Golf work on real score and F1 works on places.

LOL - We did not have a bonus for Vettel v Webber Very Happy

and it lost me some points with the placings Sad

Now that the World Cup is over is there a possible date to get the below change into the software. It would also be good if a standard message was at the bottom of each email sent advising users that they can stop the mails.

HI John,

I recently sent out an all users email and had some complaints as I had a lot of users from a particular company sign up to the site for a company competition during the World Cup.

I have been asked to stop all emails to them but I can not just do this as a blanket update as some of the users are now regular users of the site.

If the above change was made I could send out a mail advising them how to stop all future mails and then it would be up to the individual user.

Any chance of getting this update into the software soon as at the moment it means I am not really able to email users.

I will try to get it into 2.50. For 2.49 I want to clean up any problems caused by the recent change.
